Longtime OWH reporter Steven Pivovar dies
KETV NewsWatch 7's thoughts are with the family, friends and coworkers of Steven Pivovar, a longtime Omaha World-Herald reporter who died, the paper announced early Wednesday.Pivovar, 64, worked at his hometown paper for more than 40 years and covered hundreds of sporting events throughout the state. He was particularly involved in the paper's coverage of the College World Series, which sorely missed his presence this year. An outpouring of support came immediately following the news:Doug McDermott: "Thanks for everything Piv..will always cherish the moments talking life and Jays hoops with you..The Creighton & Omaha family will miss you"NCAA Baseball: "45 years. 500 #CWS Games. Today, we lost a legend.
