Two former Clippers -- Baron Davis and Corey Maggette -- joined Howard Beck on Bleacher Report Radio to talk about the season and the team going forward. Below are some notable quotes from the show:
On the "curse":

The "Clippers Curse," of course, being the tired cheap shot used to explain why the Clippers have yet to have any significant success. Although Davis has declared the curse gone, I am not sure if it is because it has actually left, or if it never was there. Certainly, the Clippers have had a rough history; however, just like we have begun to let go of clique sports terms like "momentum," I think we are just more likely to blame coaches and players, given our advanced methods of understanding basketball. Either way, whether misfortune or curse, it is getting pretty old that this keeps happening to the Clippers.
On needs:
What do the Clippers need? A "high-caliber wing" and "guys who know how to put their ego aside" as the Spurs do, @Corey_Maggette says.

The need for a "high-caliber wing" has been a desperate one for awhile now, so this is not really new insight. What is interesting, however, is the second comment: we need "guys who know how to put their ego aside." Surely, the Clippers have some big personalities on the team but these personalities have never been interpreted as egotistical. Possibly Corey knows the team at a deeper level than us fans and is hinting at some kind of chemistry or locker room issues; after all, team unity was a point of question during DeAndre Jordan's free agency process.
On Donald Sterling:

While Davis was with the Clippers, there were often rumors that he and Sterling did not get along. Indeed, it was reported that Sterling harassed Davis at times. Luckily, though, this will not be an issue going forward for the Clippers.
