Running back Dwayne Washington, who declared for the NFL draft after his junior season with the Huskies, was selected Saturday in the seventh round (No. 236 overall) by the Detroit Lions.
Washington, 6-feet-2 and 226 pounds, was the Huskies’ featured running back for most of 2014 and during the first half of 2015, rushing for 1,311 and 17 touchdowns in 35 career games. The versatile running back also had 41 receptions and four receiving touchdowns for UW.

He missed the last four games of 2015 with a knee injury, then declared for the draft in December. Washington became a father in October when his daughter was born.
Outside linebacker Travis Feeney was drafted in the sixth round Saturday by the Pittsburgh Steelers, giving UW at least two selections in each of the last three drafts.
