Mo Williams questionable for Game 2

The Cavs might have Mo Williams for tonight's Game 2.

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers may get veteran guard Mo Williams back tonight.

Williams has been dealing with an injured knee for much of this season and recently traveled to New York to have his knee further examined. Williams is dealing with chondromalacia, which is inflammation of cartilage under the kneecap.

Williams' return probably wouldn't change anything for the Cavs. Kyrie Irving, of course, will see the bulk of the Cavs' point guard minutes and Matthew Dellavedova will play most of the rest. Williams also hasn't played much this year and there's not really a need to play him. The biggest benefit of having him pack is having the roster at full strength in case an injury happens.

The Cavs and Pistons tipoff at 8 p.m. The game airs on TNT.
