GREENSBORO, N.C. — Democratic Rep. Ralph Johnson has died, his office confirmed Wednesday morning.

Johnson, who was facing a primary race for his North Carolina House District 58 seat, suffered a mild stroke in late February.

As a dedicated public servant, Johnson served as co-chair of the Concerned Citizens of Northeast Greensboro for five years.

His family will announce arrangements and services when the details are finalized.
