Atlanta Brave Freddie Freeman Asks $775K for Roswell Digs

New, 14 comments

Braves first-baseman Freddie Freeman has managed to stay firmly rooted on the team's roster despite multiple bench clearings over the last couple of years. Maybe the consistency has made him antsy as, according to the AJC, the baseballer has now listed his 5,253-square-foot Roswell home. The spread is a pretty run-of-the-mill suburban mansion, featuring six bedrooms and seven-and-1/2 bathroooms; in fact, aside from the "Freddie & Chelsea" scrawled on a chalkboard, there's no indication that one of the most important figures in Braves baseball lives here. Listed for $775,000 — chump change for a guy with a $135 million contract — the place could be a home run for buyers looking for a big lot, water slide and four-car garage. As for what comes next for Freddie, while the Braves are moving out of Atlatnta proper, he should be sticking around town, as his contract is good for another five years. Maybe he'd be game for this penthouse near SunTrust Park.
