Mo Williams excused from tonight's game against Dallas Mavericks to tend to family matter

DALLAS - Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams was excused by the team on Tuesday to deal with a family situation and will miss tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks.

The team did not reveal the exact reason, but it should be noted Williams' wife and kids live in Dallas. Just yesterday the team practiced at his facility, the Mo Williams Academy, in preparation for tonight's game

"We're just all appreciative first of all for him opening up his doors for us," LeBron James said. "We've heard they have some great things going on down here. A lot of players come down here in the off-season. ... It's definitely pretty cool to see teammates of yours doing some great things off the floor for not only himself, but for others and you can appreciate that."

Williams, 32, has not entered a game in four straight contests. He's averaging 11.2 points and 3.6 assists, but has since been out of the rotation.
